The TVDB good or bad?

Another question, is The TVDB good or bad? In my opinion they are bad. But why do I have that opinion about the site? Because they can deliver a good service, and they do it a lot. But some core values with the organisation is completely wrong that creates frustration for me and many others.

The TVDB should be a community driven database with accurate information about tv shows.

A community is a collection of people that have something in common, so my interpretation is a group of people work with a common goal on the same platform (location).

And for The TVDB their goal should be to have a complete database with valid information regarding tv shows.

What is great about this platform it is not commercial (fits me perfect), driven by a community mean it should be some transparent and openness between its users.

Today they have a set of principles, sounds good right? Well as a foundation it is really good, but with a changing world with more parameters than we can handle, sticking to them means you might stay back in stone age and not moving forward with the rest of the world, and this is a fast moving world, which is increasing it’s speed.

This set of principles is holding them back and not moving forward giving the relevant information for their viewers/users, this will push the viewers/users to another platform to get the correct information, which will be a downward spiral with a decreasing community.

Today I look for my information on IMDB only because they are more reliable.
